Our Wedding

Our story began on July 4th, 2016, on Société Générale’s Paris trading floor—Olivia’s very first day as an intern, and the place where Corentin was already working. That coincidence turned into the very first chapter of what would become a long and sometimes unpredictable story (more How I Met Your Mother than a classic love-at-first-sight). A few months later, just as Corentin was leaving Paris for a new adventure in Hong Kong, we took the leap of starting a relationship—despite knowing we’d be almost 10,000 km apart for a year and a half. Little did we know those 18 months of long distance would eventually stretch into four years, when Olivia moved to London. It wasn’t always easy, but as they say: Rome wasn’t built in a day. Travel quickly became a central part of our story—the way we managed to stay connected, and to turn every reunion into a celebration. Beyond travel, what has always brought us together is a shared love of celebrating—not just parties, but the joy of making the most of life’s moments and the people around us. That spirit has been the thread running through our relationship from the very beginning. So when it came to imagining our wedding, it only felt natural to choose Sicily—a place where we’ve shared unforgettable holidays, where Corentin proposed, and that simply feels like us. It’s a place that reflects both our love of travel and our love of celebrating life together. We know we’re asking our friends and family for something a little complicated. But that’s who we are—and we promise, it will be worth it.

Where to stay?

TO READ:There are numerous accomodation options in Siracusa. Ortigia Island is the historical center of Siracusa and this is where you have the outdoor museum kind of vibe. This kind of beauty comes at a cost... not so many swimming pool options (which may be quite useful for our "time off"). We have selected a few accomodations, depending on what you're after in terms of location and style. The first option looked to us to be a decent gathering spot: big enough so we can surely all stay there if we want, with a large swimming pool and not too far from Ortigia (good 35min walk or 10min drive/taxi). We like the idea of being surrounded by you for this big weekend but don't worry, we totally understand if you prefer an other option!

This is where we will stay and it will most likely be the meeting point for the shuttles. If you can, please book it asap!

How to get here?

Siracusa is located on the eastern coast of Sicily, 45min south of Catania. ✈️ By planeThe closest airport is Catania Fontanarossa (CTA), which offers many direct flights from major European cities (and even US). From the airport, Syracuse is about 60 km away (roughly 45 minutes by car).Palermo airport (PMO) is another option, but it’s about 3 hours’ drive, so Catania is by far the most convenient. ⛴ By ferryThere are ferries from mainland Italy (Naples, Salerno, Reggio Calabria, etc.) to several Sicilian ports (Catania, Messina, Palermo). This can be a good option if you’re coming with a car or planning a longer Italian road trip. 🚗 Getting around - Car rental is generally the most practical way to get to and around Syracuse, especially if you want to explore beyond the city. Parking is easier outside of Ortigia (the historic island center), where cars are restricted. - Taxis/private transfers from Catania airport to Syracuse are available (expect €70–90 each way). - Trains and buses also run between Catania and Syracuse (around 1h15–1h30), though they can be less frequent. - Within Syracuse, especially in Ortigia, everything is easily walkable.

Will transportation be provided?

We will provide a shuttle service to/from Siracusa center (meeting point TBD) for the Pool Party and the Wedding day. NB: We will kindly ask guests to make their own way to the shuttle meeting point

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones but apart from babies in arms the venues are not kid-friendly (especially with the swimming pool). We'll be happy to connect you with local nannies.

Can I bring a plus one?

If your invitation includes a guest, it will be indicated. Otherwise we can't accommodate additional guests - thank you for understanding

What should i wear

Pool Party: As the name suggests, it's a pool party - bring your swimsuit, the more colorful the better! White Party: True to its name as well, white but don't worry we keep this one chill :) Wedding Day: Our big day! Gentlemen, smoking/tuxedo encouraged, suits required. Ladies, time to shine, bring your best outfit! However, thin heels won't be ideal (think dance floor with stones)

We are planning a honey moon to Madagascar, a country that inspires us for its breathtaking landscape, warm hospitality... and its incredible kitesurfing spots!

Alongside experiences, we would also love to have a lasting physical keepsake — and we thought of a piece by the Spanish artist Anita Geins: <a href="https://www.instagram.com/anita.geins/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.instagram.com/anita.geins/</a> Anita works with Egyptian cotton from the 1960s and 70s, sourced from her mother’s fabric shop, which she dyes with black tea to create its warm golden hue. She draws the lines using a micro-pigmented ink pen that is resistant to both water and light. Influenced by Joan Miró and Japanese aesthetics, her work immediately won us over…
